At Straits Art Co Pte Ltd, we strive to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchases. This Return & Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which goods may be returned, refunded, or exchanged. Please read it carefully before making a purchase.

1. General Return Policy

We accept returns on most items within 14 days of the delivery date, subject to the following conditions:

1.1 Return Conditions

  • Items must be unused, unopened, and in original condition.
  • Packaging must be intact and resalable (no broken seals, torn labels, or damage).
  • A valid proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or order confirmation) must be provided.
  • Return requests must be made within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods.

2. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, or copyright reasons, the following items are non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Opened or used paint, ink, solvents, adhesives, or aerosol products
  • Brushes that have been used or unsealed
  • Canvas, paper, pads, or sketchbooks that have been opened or damaged
  • Cut to order paper sheet, canvas
  • Gift Vouchers
  • Books, DVDs, or software (unless defective and unopened)
  • Custom-made, Bespoke item, cut-to-size, or specially ordered products
  • Items sold under clearance, promotion, or marked “Final Sale”
  • Photosensitive items

If such items are returned, they may be sent back to you.

3. Amending or Cancelling an Order

We’re unable to add items to orders after they’ve been placed. However, if you’ve made a mistake with your delivery address, or you wish to cancel an order, please contact our Customer Service Team before dispatch, and they will assist you

4. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item:

  • Notify us within 3 days of receiving the order.
  • Send clear photos of the item and packaging to straisartco@gmail.com.
  • We will offer a replacement, exchange, or full refund (including GST, if applicable).
  • While we will refund the cost of the product(s), you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods.

Unlike some areas of e-commerce, such as fashion, we work on small margins to keep our prices low, and as a result, we don’t build a returns price into our selling price, and we’re unable to refund the original courier delivery costs.

5. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return process, please follow these steps:

    • Your order number
    • Description of the item(s) and reason for return
    • Photos (if applicable)
  2. Await return authorization and instructions from our team.
  3. Carefully package the item and return it via a trackable shipping method.

6. Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect the returned item(s), we will process your refund as follows:

  • Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.
  • Please allow 7–10 business days for processing.
  • We reserve the right to reject returns or offer partial refunds for items not returned in acceptable condition.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
  • A 15% administration charge apply.

7. Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item for another product or variation:

  • Initiate a return as described above.
  • Once we receive your returned item, place a new order for the desired item(s) to ensure stock availability.
  • Exchanges are subject to product availability and shipping fees.

8. In-Store Returns

Items purchased online may be returned in person at our retail location, provided they meet all return conditions listed above.

9. International Orders

We currently do not accept returns for international orders unless:

  • The item is defective or damaged in transit.
  • You notify us within 3 days of receipt.

Return shipping for international orders must be arranged and paid by the customer unless agreed otherwise.
